Rebar Solid View

Good Day EveryOne !!

so i make a rebar of column, then i make a filter so the rebar will have a colour.

i go to 3d view, but i found the rebar still in lines, then i click the rebar, click "view visibilities states" then i check the

view unobscured and view as solid.

ok now my rebar looks good. but when i try to copy my rebar, the copy not in solid.

how to make a filter so all my rebar can view as solid, so i dont need to click them one by one ?

the original have a solid view and color, the copy does not have anything :(the original have a solid view and color, the copy does not have anything 😞rebar warna 2.PNG

You need to check if you have the fine detail active maybe you do not have this.Another thing that you can do is modified directly in your visibility graphics put allway detail fine and solid elements, other thing is using and easy script for Dynamo to apply to all the elements..

I have the process in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3RJqXmljuM

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can use this dynamo graph to make all your rebar solid and obscured in the current revit window. You have to install spring package and dynamo for rebar package to use this graph. also the version of dynamo is 1.3.

Hi @Anonymous

The current behavior of rebar requires a manual input whenever you copy the bars, to show rebar as solid.

The unobscured option is checked by default in the view where the bar was created (by placing or copying the bar).

You can make multiple bars at the same time appear as solid.

As @shefypattambi mentioned, you can also use a dynamo script for this.

The Structural Design Dynamo package by Tomasz Fudala contains various tools for rebar, so you can check that out.

You can even configure the script to be used in Dynamo Player, so that you can run it directly from Revit.

Hi,
Bim for structure package is replaced by dynamo for structural design
package created by tomaz fudela. You can use that package or dynamo for
rebar package developed by core studio of TT.

Hi  shefypattambi,

Finally Its working ..thank you so much for help.

But we are working on a central file if I am running the programme it is asking for request from other users.

Okay anyway one simple way to make solid rebar. I'll do run the programme once in a day that also will work for me.

Thank you.

can you please tell me how can i view the 3D rebar on BIM 360. We go to the BIM 360 folder-upload and then view the model, but then the rebar is 2D?

Is there a way to over come this?

This has changed in recent updates/versions and is controlled by the Level of Detail for the View and previously
