Rebar shape parameters not working correctly?

Hi there, I`m having a issue using the rebar bending detail new feature in Revit, since It wont place all the dimensions that I need. I wanted It to place my hook length dimensions but I wasnt working ( The bending detail was set to show hook lengths). I managed to understand that the cause of It is because my rebar is with all It`s parameters equal to 0, even through there are a hook, so I think parameter C was supposed to be equal to the hook length?

Thanks for any help !!

Hi @diego.veloso.98

It may be because that shape doesn't have any of the shared parameters assigned to the hook length.

You also may be using the "hook included in rebar shape definition" option turned off, which means that a straight bar to which you add hooks doesn't change to a shape defined with hooks.

What you can do is:

  • Edit the shape family
  • Go to family types
  • Add "Start Hook Length" and "End Hook Length" as formula to the relevant parameters; you don't need to add hooks for that shape in the family, just the hook length formulas
  • Reload and overwrite

Let me know if this works for you.
