Rebar projection

Hi,

I have a linked Revit model with structural rebar contained in a structural concrete slab.

Within the linked file I have the rebar set to view obscured when cut in section.

However when I open the main model, the rebar projects through objects as the cross section cut in the main model is needs to be deeper to show distant objects.

Is there someway to obscure the view of this rebar? I can't simply select (tab) and hide each individual piece.

View-range control for the linked model (greyed out)?

It's driving me nuts, surely there's a way to hide the linked models projection lines? or adjust the view range separate to the main model?

I found a work-around for this by way of hiding the individual rebar in the linked model with the same view depth as the main model.

Whilst it's the result I was after, it's not efficient and this is surely something that could be fixed in up-coming releases?
