Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to this, so it might be just a Beginner's problem.
Here it is:
When I want to create an array of vertical rebars in a circular column, an error message appears that the rebar is already part of a group. If I ignore this error by clicking OK and create the array anyway, the array ungroups all other rebars except the original one. So, I end up with a group of 1 rebar and lets say, 19 other individual rebars. This leads me to a problem in Annotation. When I want to annotate the numbers of rebars by choosing just one, it will show the numbers = 1.
Please let me know if you can shed some light on the workings of this.

Hi @ykazmi856
One recommendation I have is to use free form rebar aligned distribution.
This way the bars will react to changes of the column size and, if you set workshop instructions to Bend, it can be matched to rebar shapes
You can find more info about modeling these bars in the round column in my AU2019 class
https://www.autodesk.com/autodesk-university/class/Rebar-Modeling-Revit-Keep-It-Check-2019
and image below
You can try to array the bars, without grouping them (in case you don't need to go back and edit the array)
I am not a Revit Structure expert, or a Revit product usage expert in any way, so I cannot contribute to this.
Best regards,
Jeremy
Thank you @ovidiu_paunescu for the quick reply.
That solved my problem after I set up the correct contraints for the free form bars. The handout is also very helpful in explaining other related topics.
Thank you @jeremy_tammik for replying anyway.
It is better to have 'no' as an answer than getting no answer.
Have a nice day.
