Rebar in a Wall Foundation Footing

Good afternoon, I have a "Wall Foundation Bearing Footing - 42"x12"" and cannot figure out how to apply rebar to this. I have applied rebar to my walls and slabs in the model with no problem. When I select the rebar "Area", I try to select the Footing with no luck. I tried to use "Path" since the footing is in a "U" shape with no luck.

Hello

Problem is that Area and Path reinforcement can only be applied to walls and slabs. If your foundations belongs to category "Structural foundation", you have to use "Structural rebar" - button for modelling the reinforcement.

Best regards,

Thanks for getting back to me. The bearing footing is under the "Wall Foundation" system family. Not sure what "Structural Rebar" is. I am in the Structure tab, in the rebar tab but nothing is working. Could you attach a screen shot showing the proper icon for Structural Rebar? Thanks

Hello

I ment this button

If it doesn't work check that Structural rebar is switched on in Visibility/Graphic Overrides. If you are placing rebar on a plan view, check that view Cut Plane is set lower than the top of foundation. It can also be helpful to set work plane to bottom of the foundation.
