Rebar family creation

Hi all,

I am a Revit Architecture Designer, I got a new task in Revit Structure.

I created a new rebar family using metric rebar shape template,but it showing some shape status error. How can i remove the error?

Hi @Anonymous

You need to associate a shared parameter to each of those dimensions (just like you would associate one to a dimension in any other revit family).

After associating each dimension to a shared parameter (A, B, C..), go to Family Types and add a default value to each parameter associated with a dimension.

did you really wanna create this rebar shape as a family ?

 this shape is already available in revit depending upon the rebar family shape you loaded in to the revit template. for example if you are using British template search for rebar shape code 21 in your family - rebar shape category tree.

if you are facing difficult to find it. please download this shapes and insert into your project.

This kind of rebar you can simply draw inside the revit project itself. No need of any custom rebar shape family for that.

Hi @Anonymous. You need to dimension the rebar shape, not the reference plane.
