Re-location of Internal Origin

I am working on a project where I need to re-locate the internal origin in my structural model to match the Architectural model in elevation. Survey and project base points are aligned with the Architectural model. The Architect had suggested I move our levels to match their internal origin position but I am reluctant to do this. Any suggestions on how I can rectify is appreciated.DarrenHynesQPA3K_0-1737363820244.png

I think you may be more referring to Relocate Project for levels as the Internal Original is Fixed.

You could just Acquire the Coordinates from the Architects model so you have their coordinate system matched in your project?

FYI - Is it possible to move entire model element without changing the internal origin in Revit

Are the coordinates of your Project Base Point (PBP) and the Survey Point (SP) set to 0?

Couple ways you can "fix" it:

  • you can also select the PBP, right click and pick Move to Internal Origin. Then use the Relocate project to move the PBP with the Internal Origin (IO) to the SP location (which should show as 0,0 now)

  • Another option is to select Reset Shared Coordinates from the Manage > Coordinates ribbon. then move the PBP to the SP location (which should show as 0,0 now)
