Object selection: click and click vs click and drag

Object selection:  I like to click and release left button, then move cursor and click and release to complete the selection window.  Instead, my mouse requires me to click and hold, then drag, then release to complete the selection window.  Is there a setting in Revit 2020 that allows me to use the first method?

Thanks.

You are thinking the Select command in AutoCAD?  I don't think it is available in Revit but you maybe able to customize a hotkey or key combination to act as left mouse button press.

Also, check the option below (if the reason you ask has something to do with accidentally dragging elements).

In Autocad you can do it : you can change the Window Selection Method (PICKDRAG 0 -> Click once to begin a selection window, click again to complete the selection). However it doesn't exist right now in Revit i hope they will change this in the next update (Revit 2021 ?)

Revit 2023 doesn't appear to have this feature still. Maybe one day. I'd like to be able to click and drag instead of having to click, hold, and drag.
