New assembly Type Created When Copying

Hello,

I'm trying to create a copy of an existing assembly that contains a structural framing family and rebar.

when copying an instance of the assembly it creates a new assembly type instead of creating a new instance.

I've found that this happens only when copying the assembly when it contains a specific type of rebar (such as M_T1 , M_T2, M_17 Stirrups).

What could be the reason? is the host family faulty? or is it a general bug in the assembly workflow?

Attached to this post is a video showing the problem and the model itself.

Thanks!

It's a bug in Revit 2023 that I think it has been solved in Revit 2024

Hello,

thank you for your response.

after upgrade and saving the model in RVT 2024 format the "bug" keeps happening.
Unfortunately, It didn't solve the problem. Any other Ideas?

I am attaching a video (https://youtu.be/Bo8eg00mEM0) and the RVT 2024 model for illustration.

Try and check if all the parameters (A, B, C, D ,..) of the rebar set of stirrup rebar set have the exact same value. Sometimes the Rebars sets "lose" connection to the Host geometry and therefore the values are not the same -> therefore the mark of the rebar set is not the same -> therefore the Assembly is not the same.
