Need help over structural connection

Hi Everyone,

If anyone can help me in modification of structural connection. As I am going me using HSS Column and beam connection and using seated beam connection and while modification in the same I need to use L6x8x1/2 angle size however I am getting option of only L8x6x1/2 and not able to change the size of the member as well. Attached ref image.

Hi, from the top of my head and it may be wrong as i have not checked for a while but i recall the the leg of the angle must be longer on the face of the column for design forces but again I amm guessing a little without checking but explains the reason why you are limited to the angles and there is no flip/rotate option in the Modify Parameters/Connection Type dialogue.

The only other alternative would be to Break the Connection and create you own Customised connection.  You can start with the seated connection and edit to suit and reuse again and again.  Below is an excellent tutorial on how to do this.

Additionally, if you can help me if we can take quantity for each items separately like bolts and the plates used in the connection. So, would it be possible. If yes, please help me how we can go.

Hi. Any element created by a connection (bolts, plates, anchors etc.) can be scheduled through the Revit schedule tool. You need to select the relevant category you want, that can be found under the "Structural Connections"
