Modifying existing slab boundary with slab edge

Hello!

I have an issue to solve and I hope someone of you can help me.
I'd like to modify the foundation slab boundary, where I placed also a slab edge. If I try to edit the slab sketch and modify the original boundary, Revit gets me an error message "Could not create Slab Edge" and it suggests to delete the elements.
The problem is, that I have already drawn the reinforcement for the hole project and I don't want to lost all the work already done.

Have you any suggestion how to solve this issue?

take reinforcement to the group and then edit your slab. It`ll allow you to lose the edges, but save the reinforcement on her place. then make new edges.

It's strange ,

because it should be modified without any warning

take a look in this file and edit the slab boundary and you will see that it modifies without warning

Hello!

Thanks you for your suggestions.

I solved it in the following way:

1) I applied an opening in the foundation with the needed dimensions,

2) I made an in place void object and I cut the slab edge with it,

3) I applied new slab edges to the new slab border around the opening,

4) I joined the new slab edges with the existing ones,

5) Finally I modified the slab edge and the slab reinforcement.
