Making parameters available as Filter Rules

I'm working with a Filter and hitting a snag (Revit 2022). I want to display all the steel in a project over a certain unit weight in another color. W is an existing Type Parameter already associated with all steel shapes in the project associated with Structural Framing or Structural Columns.

Per the documentation, I believe these Type Parameters should be available in the Filter Rules dropdown.

Running a test case with just Structural Columns as the selected category, W is not an option. (The shown Weight is the total weight of the member, not weight per foot of the section.) All the Identity Data parameters for the Type are available as filter options, but not Structural or Dimensions.

Very curious as to your thoughts as to why this might be, and suggested most efficient paths forward.

I don't know the reason it's is not appearing but I have added a shared parameter and assign it by project parameter to Structural column and it works fine.

Is W a shared parameter?

Agree. That was my workaround as well. Just didn't seem to jibe with the documentation or the intent of these types of filters.

Not out of the box.
