Linked IFC Files

From articles that I have read, Revit 2026 had new features to include improved interoperatbility. The known issue is that when linked files are updated, the dimensions associated are lost.  Was this 1 of the improvements that were made with 2026?

I have tested but I have yet to see the dimensions sticking to objects when objects change with updates.

Has anybody successfully solved this issue.

Doesn't appear this way but the advised workflows may resolve it?

That is possible.  I will need to test.  Do we know if this only works in 2026 or should this work in 2024 as well?

Still no luck with retaining dims when IFC is updated.  I noted it mentions to keep the guids the same.  If a new IFC is created ftom tekla or archicad new guids will be assigned to elements.

I am linking the IFC to the master host file.  Is this where I am going wrong. Do I need to create a separate rvt file to link the IFC then link that rvt file to the master model?
