issue after installing import from tekla to revit 2016

I try to install the software ImportFromTeklaToRevit_2016.3.3_x64.msi but the software is not available in revit structure 2016 post installation. I didn't have this problem when I installed ImportFromTeklaToRevit_2017.2.3_x64 for revit structure 2017. Does anybody know how to get this piece of software into revit structure 2016? Thanks.

Thank you for your post.  In this case it looks like you are having issue installing the 2016 Tekla plugin, but the 2017 installed successfully.  Sometimes this can be a simple breakdown in adhesion of the third party to the native environment.  To overcome this, clear out your Windows temp folder (with all products closed), run a repair to 2016 Revit, restart the system and test again to compare overall results.

The plugin looks to be created by the Trimble (Tekla) manufacturer and they have included some overarching details at the below link (including feedback collection from the team).

Interoperability with Revit from Tekla and Trimble:  https://www.tekla.com/us/products/tekla-structures/tekla-interoperability-autodesk-revit-products

In regards to the plugin, I would also suggest reaching out to Tekla to inquire about known issues with 2016, and any potential best practices for installing this within the Revit configuration.  I have listed the support contact below for that team.

Tekla Support: https://support.tekla.com/

Please let us know how this worked out and if there are any questions that we can help with from the Autodesk portion of this request.  Thank you and we look forward to your reply update to best help wherever possible and within scope.

The Tekla plugin needed to be installed as administrator. The application is now succefully installed and works perfect within Revit 2016.
