Importing an Advance Steel model

Hi,
I am having a problem when importing an Advance Steel (2018) model into Revit 2019. A member is displaying with the wrong justification point - essentially it is displaying mirrored compared to the Advance Steel model. The member is a UK PFC about which a warning is displayed when importing. The warning says that Revit does not recognise the type of member. Do you know of any solution to this kind of problem? Thanks.

Hello Christopher,

In order to investigate this issue, can you attach the model from Advance Steel and Revit?

And a picture with the issue, or profile ID, so I can find it inside the model?

Hi Mihai,

Attached is the model I am trying to import into Revit. Since I am new to AS it may be something really simple. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to attach the message which appears. I have followed the mapping instructions but it still doesn't seem to work properly and I am left with a model that I cannot use.

As illustrated in the attached photos, even after mapping each members, some import flipped and not mitred even though Revit is showing the parametric mitre box.

Hello Christopher,

Sorry for the late reply.

We are aware that some Channel sections are imported flipped. We have this issue in our backlog for fixing.

The workaround is to:

1. Select the beams and rotate the section 180 degrees

2. Delete all the modifiers that are cutting the ends

3. Recreate mitter connections between the profiles.

Please find the below link with a movie showing the steps.
