I'm having a bit trouble with an IFC file.
Had to import it into a new project and change few things.
Somehow some beams got imported as structural framing and you can see the "type name" of the beam in the properties panel. Others do not, in the properties panel they are just "structural framing (other)" and there are no properties. But tagging them via multicategory or framing tag works. The only issue is that with the name comes (I believe element ID) and there is no way to get rid of that.
I could link the IFC and then the tag name contains just the beam type (without the ID). The issue is I had to amend the IFC file (exported from Tekla).
Opening the automated Revit file is not n option as all is changed to generic model.
Any idea on this? Or the best practise?
