IFC export openings Revit 2021

Hello,

I have a problem with exporting IFC from Revit 2021. This problem has come up lately, but can't find a way to fix it.

The problem is that when exporting IFC from a model, the outcome of reveals within walls and openings made by generic models (face based or non, doesn't make difference) come out as tubes. Window opening export correctly.
Here is a picture in REVIT model:

Same place in IFC has a tube coming out of it.

Added the Revit file as an attachment.

Under the IFC Export classes  they are identified as IfcOpeningElement
Anyone has any good ideas why this is happening?

Not sure what is happening on your side.

This is my IFC export in 3 IFC viewers

And why are you saying your element is named as IfcOpeningElement. Where do you have this arranged?

In your family I see it is  a generic family. I do not see something that links it to IfcOpeningElement

I used 2021.1 without the IFC 20201 add-in

Can you upload your IFC file?

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I figured out what is the cause of the problem and it seems to be the IFC viewer. I opened the same IFC in Solibri and it works fine. When using Trimble Connect then it makes these openings into objects.

So yeah, I guess it is resolved from the Revit point of view.
