In the upper picture, you can see the rebar tag with the triangles i would like to make customizable. They need to be customizable per instance.

Here are the parameters i have set up, boven means top layer. Right now the parameter is set to instance, but the checkboxes won't show up in my properties panel as seen in the first image. When i use a type parameter, the family becomes linked so i have to create a new family type per rebar set. I would prefer if it could be one type. Does anyone know a solution.

Ps. the triangles are 4 detail items, 1 of those only has one triangle, one has 2 etc. they are layered on top of each other.

You should look into Shared Parameters in Revit. They are the only way of adding info to a tag. https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-E7D12B71-C50D-46D8-886B-8E0C2B285988
