How to rotate wall tag upside down

I need wall tag to be upside down in drawing. In tag family I rotated text 180 degrees and unchecked "keep readable" box. Text is upside down inside of the family, but in project it's still the same way as it was earlier. How can I edit wall tag to make it upside down in drawing?

Left tag in revit file should be as it as, the right on should be upside down - rotated 180 degrees.

I am not sure if it is possible to get your tags upside down.

When working in the family editor that setting is not really working. Then settings are controlled by the family categroy/parameters settings.

(This to make sure that all text and labels are controlled by single setting)

When you have a look at those settings you see that only generic annotation have a control for that.

If you try you will see that generic annotation can be placed upisde down in your project.

Thanks for your answer.

So as I understand, althought there is a choice "keep readable" for label text, it doesn't work, because in Family category and parapeters this choice doesn't exist? I can uncheck "Keep readable" box, but it doesn't change anything. Is it a bug in Revit or am I doing something wrong?

Bug, I do not know. Maybe it is just that they thought about implementing this and later decided to have it controlled in another way (by the family Category/Parameters).

I also can imagine that they (later) decided that upside down tags are not advisable. In some ways I agree, I always find it strange when I have to rotate a drawing 180° to read the text.

All above pure speculation from my side.

Ohterwise consider putting in a request to Autodesk.

I agree with that also, I don't like upside down texts neither. But in some countries, its common to show for example wall elements view direction with tags direction. So if wall element is viewed from north direction, text should be above wall and upside down.

As I know it's not possible to rotate tags upside down, I'll just find some other solution. At least I know I'm not doing something wrong.

Thanks again for your time!

Any progress on rotating tags ?

I'm having the same problem. I really really need a beamtag that rotates with the element.

Tried almost everything...model text nested in a family doesn't work either. Text font acts as a reference for beam placement.

Please autodesk make tags rotate with elements !!!

Hi, we have same problem in Finland. Some earlies project we made tags by text and then rotate upside down.

If someone know any good plugin to this, please tell. First we made plugin by dynamo, but it was very "ducktape system".

Hey Guys, I think I found a way to trick Revit into allowing you to make the tags upside down.

In the family file I rotated the family 89 degrees and now it's able to be rotated to the correct orientation on the sheet.

Keep in mind the text will not be straight but it is definitely enough to trick the human eye to think it is haha. this is my temporary solution until Revit can make a better solution.

Any updates on this? With @airam.maravalhas workaround, I can get the tag to be rotated vertically how I want it to. However, I also need a horizontal upside down tag, which should be rotated 179 degrees. However, the text remains rightside up when this is done.
