How to move structural elements from Main Model to Design Options

As the title suggests i am having no luck moving structural elements from the main model into the design options. I can move everything else except the structural elemements. I understand its due to the 'interdependant' nature of it but surely theres someway around this ?

This is done out of frustration with little hope of an answer so any help would be appreciated.

First it's called design option which means LOD300 so there is no need to put connections for steel members as it's LOD350/400 and as the message says it's a fabrication part.

check the belwo link about the design options considerations

Its not the steelwork connections im interested in its the actual structural columns / beams / framing that wont move. I can draw new structural members in the different design options but that's inefficient as I just want to bring through what has already been drawn.

I already checked out the post but it doesn't offer information regarding structural members and any solutions. Thanks for the reply though.

Try copy from main model, paste aligned to design options.

Unfortunately any attempt to copy and paste results in the following message "Structural steel connections or individual structural steel fabrication elements are not allowed in Design Options."

looks like you have your solution right there LOL. design options don't allow you to connect to things outside the design option there in. So the column would have to be a standalone column, not connected to anything outside the option.
