How to create opening of a curve beam?

By using Opening - By face, I can make it with a straight beam but not possible with a curve beam.

Any method?

Thanks.

You can create a face based family containing a void.

In the family environment cut the solid that represents the host with the void then load into project and host on the face you want to cut:

When you use other family templates containing voids and either version of 'cuts with voids when loaded' then that doesn't seem to work for this case (not even with cut tool in project). So I just stick to the method I outlined initially.
