How do i change the alignment of a stiffener connection?

I have drawn red lines where i want my stiffeners to go.

i have tried rotating them. and aligning them but it doesn't work.

the only solution i have found is by breaking the connection and then using the align tool. I don't want to do this.

is there an easy way to do it where the connection remains intact?STIFFENER QUESTION.png

The only feasible solution i have found is to use the Gable Wall End Plate and set the Stiffener Arrangement to the Flanges and tick the Perpendicular option.  You could try and edit this or manipulate it more inline with your needs.

I would also look at Philippe Bonneau video How to Create Custom Steel Connections in Revit - YouTube

You could break the Gable End Post Connection once placed and remove unwanted part/bolts/welds etc.

Create a Generic Connection

Customise the Connection

Add broken down connection to new Custom Connection so you can reuse, i did it here and it seemed to work okay.
