Hollow Core Family with nested Components report wrong volume

Hi Everyone, 

i already created a HCS family using structural framing template with multiple nested components (Strands) loaded as structural stiffeners , the problem that when i load the family to the project it reports the volume of the strands not the HCS itself .

when i create a material takeoff it works well reporting HCS and Strands Materials volume separately but when i select the element in any view the volume in Properties Palette is the strand volume only not the total volume of the HCS element . 

Any Solutions ! 

Notes : 

- I tried to remove the strands material parameter but still getting the same results 

- family type parameter control the visibility of each strand pattern

Th thing that you can do is edit this family and create a calculet parameter with formulas, i obtain my volume of concrete total and then i rest the void volume and multiply for the numbers of holes.

Hello Ahmed,

Have you used VisibilitySettings with use of Detail levels?

I believe I read somewhere that the volume is calculated with the use of the Medium detail level.

Is there a possibility that that is the problem?
