halftone issue

Please see attached image. 

I have capping beam elevation where I want capping beams to standout. Whenever I halftone floor (which sits on capping beam) I get result shown in attached. Floor take priority than capping beam as in picture 1 bcz floor is on capping beam the top edge of capping beam which should appear darker gets hidden by floor halftone.

Is there any other way to fix this issue other than linework tool.
