Grips in Family

I have created a family but it doesn't show grips when loaded in the project.

  1. Change the parameters to Instance instead of Type
  2. When dimensioning to Reference Planes, make sure they are NOT set to (Not a Reference)

Note: Labeled dimensions should measure from and to reference planes while geometries/forms/nested components are locked to and driven by these reference planes(Recommended)

Oka, It worked out seems grip in the family only works with reference Line.

If you want grips in 3D then you need to constrain reference lines with instance parameters.  If you want grips in 2D only then you can constrain either reference planes or reference lines with instance parameters.
