Four Diagonals - Middle Gusset Plate needs help.

Hi. I tried to create a connection with a middle gusset plate for a vertical bracing with four metric L60*6 diagonals and i received a message: connection failed. I changed to AISC sections and the problem remains. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hello,

Can you please attach the model or a picture so I can understand how you defined the connection?

I would prefer the model, only the beams between you want to create the model.

I select clockwise the 4 diagonals and sometimes when i change the length of one or more diagonals the gusset plate appears. I gave it a second try with a different L or UPN section and connection failed again. I am confused because i don't know how to manipulate this particular connection and i don't want to create it manually. Thank you.

Hi,

Could you please change the order of the input member ? This might solve the issue.

Thank you

Try like in the attached picture.

This connection requires a specific order of the input elements.

It seems that it needs to be improved from this point of view.
