Filter by top/bottom placement in floor

Hi, new to Revit here.

I would like to give the top and bottom bars placed in a floor different colours by using a filter and overriding the linecolours in the sheet.

Is there a filter wich can recognise top and bottom placement in an area reïnforcement. Of can I filter by the distance relative to the level?

Hi @wouter.wijnants

There is no automated way to filter by the top and bottom bars of an area reinforcement or by the distance to an element face.

Something that you can do, is to manually add a value to the Comments parameter for the bars inside the Area Reinforcement and filter by that value to add color to those bars.

The other inconvenience with this, besides having to manually add the parameter value, is that new bars created by that Area Reinforcement will not get the parameter value and you have to manually add it every time.

I recommend adding this topic to Revit Ideas
