Fabric Reinforcement Symbol in plan view

Hi,

I usually use a diagonal line to mark a fabric sheet that goes from one corner to the other. Revit always creates that diagonal line in the same direction.

So, is it possible to change diagonals direction and how?

Regards!

Hello

You need to edit the Fabric Reinforcement Symbol Family. See screen cast

Hi,

thanks a lot! I managed to add the opposite diagonal as you have shown in your video. That's terrific! But when applying "tag by category", text is still aligned with the "original diagonal line" (not the one you created in the video) and cannot figure out how to make it align with the newly created diagonal!!!

I must say whole this with Fabric reinforcement is completely new for me but here's what I've found out:

When editing Structural Fabric Reinforcement Symbols Family you can change parameter "Tag Component Reference". It can be Diagonal (then you will get tag displacement as shown on your screenshot), intersection, major/minor axis. If you use "intersection", Revit will allow you to rotate tag when you will place it in the project. This way you can place it aligned with that line.

Other way is to edit tag family and switch off "Rotate with component". Then you will be able to place tag either horisontal or vertical.

Thanks!

How did you open that menu in your screen shot? I'm lost a little bit!
