Elevator pit: foundation appears on all the floors

Hi! im having a problem with our elevator pit. The foundation of the pit appears on every floor and i tried many things, but cant find a way to solve it.

on the ground floor it appears like it should:

On the second floor it appears with the foundation showing, that i dont want to be seen.

It is some model lines with rules in the family that i tested to remove, but does no diffrence.

playing with visible settings in the family doesen't seem to work either.

Any solutions?

Thanks

I believe that since your void object is a model object, any cut plane through it will cause the whole family to appear in the cut. This behavior is by design so that users can create objects that will show if cut through. Sort of a double edge sword though.

You will need to create the void in some other manner rather than having it a part of the family. I would personally just take that void up past the slab that the pit attaches to.

Because your view is cutting through the family.  There are a couple of ways to fix it:

1. Hide the family in upper levels

2. Save a copy of the family.

- in copy A: delete the foundation, keep the void

- in copy B: delete the void, keep the foundation, set the family to shared

- nest B in A, associate parameters

- load A in project and use it

It kinda worked, but when hiding the foundation on the second level, the model lines disappear
