Dimensions in dependent views

I have a large project where one area is surrounded on 3 sides by other views. So when I dimension the grids they show up in those other plans. Is this best handled by 'hide in view' or is there a way to manipulate the visibility like a view reference? Thanks.

Depending on the situation. You can use crop view in combination with annotation crop yo hide annotations. You also might consider not using dependent views for some situations. And indeed hide elements in view might be a (last) solution.
