Is there a way to add a button to my ribbon to add dimensional lumber?  Say, where I have Wall, Floor and Columns buttons?  right now I just go to "Insert" and load dimensional lumber and they'll show up under the "Beams" button.  I would like to have a dedicated button with just lumber if possible.  I create a lot of my own lumber using the duplicate and edit commands.  Not sure if it's possible?

I'm not understanding you. Dimensional Lumber is of the Category "Structural Framing". Look in your Project Browser. All your Dimensional Lumber is nicely grouped under Structural Framing. The Beam Tool default is the last structural member used, but it can be changed in Properties before placement. Then that member will become the new default the next time you use the Beam Tool.

...You can also place a family by right-clicking on its name in the PB and selecting Create Instance.

You are absolutely right!  For some reason I din't figure that out after you told me.....   I always had problems importing families between architecture and structural.
