Different Bend Diameter for Rebars

Hi All,

I'm struggling with rebar Bar Type definition in my template. I've been checking national manufacturer parameters and including them into Revit but I have a question: Why are 3 different Bend Diameters?

Correct me if I'm wrong. The bend diameter is related to the Bar diameter, not if it is for standard or stirrups, right?

Any tip of advice will be very well received.

Regards!

Hi,

In the Netherlands is standard 5x diameter (inner radius) for all bends (standard stirrup etc.)

In Chile, is usual to see 6x(bar diameter) for all the bendings.

Hi @Anonymous ,

For ACI  the bend diameter is different for standard hook and stirrup hook depending upon the dia of the bar. Please refer the pic.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You are welcome, since you are mentioned that in chili standard it is same for every type of hook; I would like to say; a small bend dia is preferred like "4d" for stirrup hook; in order to perfectly fit the longitudinal bar at the stirrup bend corner.
