The goal is to show the zons of the roof that will be removed. But they must be at the same level and with the same slope as the main roof.
Maybe there is a more effective way?
(For a flat roof-floor, there is no such difficulty)

Yes.
- copy the existing roof and paste aligned in place
- draw a vertical cut opening to cut it around the portion to be demolished. when done you only see the portion to be demolish, set it to be demolished under New phase
