I have two steel beams intersecting each other. I added shorten to both beams to create the joint I wanted, and also added other details such as bolts and plates. Then, I converted the joint into a "custom connection" so it could be reused in other similar beam intersections.
However, since the angles between the intersecting beams vary slightly in different cases, the custom connection doesn’t work as expected.
Is it possible to include parameters when creating a custom connection to account for such minor angle variations? Or is there another recommended solution to handle this kind of situation?
