Curved Concrete Beam

Hey,

I need some help with creating a curved beam in Revit 2022. I've got a model with a roof (attached), and I want to add a curved beam underneath it. Check out the picture I've included to see the side view where the beam needs to go.

I've tried a few times to do this myself, but I keep hitting a wall. If you could try it out and then provide some guidance or solutions, that would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

IS there someone available who could provide me with assistance?

There are 2 options:

  1. When you create the beam use the Pick Line option in the drawing panel, this will allow you to use the existing shape for the beam path.
  2. Create a Model In-Place Family with a Structural Framing Category.  You will then create a Sweep with the Path being determined by the Roof Edge Line and the Profile can be a Structural Framing Profile or sketch it manually.

Take a look at this similar solution;

Option 1 Didn't helped me, when i pick line using 3d snapping, it say error that curve is sharp.
Is option 2 helpful enough to create analytical model of that beam and cut length of beam?

I think you are limited in output due to the complexity of the Structure your are trying to associate it with

Actually, I Dont need just Geometery. Later, I will use model for Structural analysis, Sheet Generation and Quantification too.

You can do this with a Sweep, just tried it here and it worked okay.

Yes dear,

I tried sweep too but it looks OK from from front but on backside the edge of beam is exposed, not merged in slab.

Again there is problem of analytical model
