Curved beam reinforcement in schedule

Curved beam reinforcement in schedule

Hello,

In one of our projects we have several curved beams that need reinforcement. Using a path reinforcement doesn't work in this situation as it doesn't allow me to manipulate the rebar lengths. The recommended way to model is using the array command, which models separate rebars in an array group.

1. Is there a better way to model a curved beam?

2. How can I get the elements to behave like a rebar set?

3. Is it possible to have the elements appear in a schedule as rebar set?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous

You can use the Aligned Distribution Free Form Rebar to define the reinforcement. If you set the Workshop Instructions to Bend, the bars are matched to rebar shapes in the library.

Thank you for your suggestion @ovidiu_paunescu , however it doesn't apply to what we are trying to achieve. The reinforcement is used to connect a curved steal beam to the bottom of a floor reinforcement. In order to have the schedule work, it also needs to be hosted to the steal beam.

The array tool seems to be the best option here, but I still need to figure out a way for Revit to display the correct amounts for each type instead of individual rebars.

I will post an update when I find or don't find something.
