CSV to create toposurface

Hello everyone

I have received *.kof-file with points that indicates rock level on the building site. I would like to create toposurface in Revit that represents the rock level according to this file. I can import this file to Excel and save it as *.csv or *.txt. But i cannot make toposurface out of it. When I use Toposurface -> Create from Import, I receive a error message “No point were found in the file” and “Some rows from the file could not be used”. I assume that the file that I get from Excel does not meet requirements of Revit. That is why I would like to ask how csv or txt files for toposurface are supposed to look like. Could someone give me any example?

I have attached this *.kof file so you can try it.

For Revit you want a csv file with X Y Z points (in 3 columns).

Try to replace ; with , (comma)

Revit 2017 - This CSV file - do you need to have the X Y and Z as headings to the three columns - and where do you place the commas - a separate column or at the end of each value in the same cell?

You don't need to have headings. I replace all semicolons to commas in notepad by using find/replace functionality.

Revit 2017 - CSV Question, Thank you Alexsei

- the file I have been sent by surveyors for a toposurface generation  has no ; or , so I am thinking I need to add commas - but where?

In a separate inserted column/cell or at the end of each data value?
