Critical error when using structural beam or any other tool

Hi,

I started having a problem when trying to use structural beam tool. Now even when loading new family to the project or trying to use measure tool or trying to use basically any tool!!! Now everything I try to do a critical error appears and Revit crushes!! 😞

When I do any of these actions Revit shows critical error and crashes. I am pretty desperate, because I can not continue working on the project.

This error also appear when i try to do any of the actions above.

I tried to reinstal Revit, does not help.

In the attachment there is a model and Journal reports.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue: 

1. Close all Revit Sessions on the affected machine. 
2. Rename the following file (instead of removing the folders listed in the solution below): C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit %VERSION%\DDGraph
3. Restart Revit. 

Alternatively: 
Copy and paste a healthy DDGraph file from another machine, where the issue is not reproducible.

If the above steps do not help, clear the content of the following folders:

• C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit %VERSION%
• C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit %VERSION%

%USERNAME% should be your windows login name.

%VERSION% should be your Revit version.

I renamed the DDGraph file and it all works now. What is the point of this solution?

What is the purpose of this file?
