Create a dependent view where you can't make any changes

Hi,

I'd like to make a dependent sheet, without the possibility of making any changes in it.

Preferably I would want to make everything halftone, so that I could draw 'on top' of that view with black lines.

Is this in any way possible without having to make a copy of the document and using the Revit link option?

Hopefully someone understands what I'm trying to do..

you can put it on a view template and that will make it unchanged 

if you want to draw annotations exclude the visibility graphics for annotations from the view template

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. The thing is that I want to work on that new view, but I don't want the possibility to accidently change something in the model. That way I could have a sheet with the model only, and the new one with the model and 2D rebar elements.

using the view template and pin will be useful I think

and make selection options to unselect pined elements

Create a new design option and work in it so that everything else is grayed out and uneditable while editing the design option.
