Controlling rebar turn direction

I've been trying to model a stirrup that has a loop in the center, but is only double the width of the rebar (in this case, this #5 stirrup should be 1 1/4" thick edge to edge). However, Revit will increase the thickness of a stirrup for every three turns in a rebar shape, because there needs to be space for the hook. This makes sense generally, but in cases like mine, the hook could be turned over the other way, inwards, but I have not been able to do it. Can this be done in Revit?

I think it would be hard to do since the hook turn will have to be made an exception for this design. I am guessing you are drawing this rebar with the sketch rebar function?

However, from a structural stand point and personally, I don't think specifying this shape of rebar is a viable thing to do. From what I seeing, it is quite difficult for the field guys to actually make those stirrups and then fit them in. My suggestion would be to split this stirrup; 1 long stirrup all around the outside bars and another stirrup for the middle bars, assuming you are using 8 longitudinal bars.
