Can you please describe what you are actually looking for?
you see here2 wall types with the same material (not a option to make them different).
The cross hatch is done with a filter. But i want the cross hatch with a solid grey fill behind it (look at the second image). I would really like to have a fill pattern for this.
Do you talk about filled regions?
If so the standard filled region have a hatched pattern (can be solid) with a tranparent or opaque background. The color o fthe background can not be set.
You could solve it by using two filled regions (one with solid hatch and one with pattern).
Or you could make an annotation family with two filled regions inside (both examples in screenshot)

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Hi Merlijn,
I may know a way hao to do it, but you can use it only if you have only sectioned elements in your view.
Check this video I prepared for you:
https://screencast.autodesk.com/Main/Details/30155050-7af6-46c3-9381-ee9d7bb76bcc
The trick is to add your cross patern as a cut patern for the material. Then make sure you will add your grey color for shading color. I made the exercise for two objects. You can notice that the first one have a dark grey color(RGB 102 102 102) for shading and the second one a light grey color (RGB 183 183 183) for shading.
After you made these setings you have to change your visual style to Shaded or Consistent Colors. This is way you can use it only for views where you have only sectioned elements.
Hope this helsp!
