Did you download all the parts of the 2014?  And from what source are you installing from?

Hi,

Downloading from a torrent file is not recomended... for any software. You never know what might have been changed or included in that download.

That said, try the link Install 2015 Software in the right column, it will take you to a page with instructions and links for downloading the correct files.

Hi,

You will need to install Window 7 Service Pack 1, should be availible trough Windows Update.

Note that you might have to run WU several times before SP1 even shows up.

Yeah... well... don't do that. Torrents are nice, but often they're taken from disc images that someone had access to at the office or at a friend's house or who knows, and so you get those kinds of problems. Probably the torrent you downloaded was taken from an upgrade version, that needs the previous version to run.

Fortunately you can get a working Revit installer from the Autodesk website, if it's for learning purposes:

http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/revit

Download your installer from there, and try it.

And if it doesn't show up on Windows Update, or if you need to download it at a remote location (for example if you're installing on your home PC but need to download at the office), you can get SP1 from the MS Website:
