Hi,

I would like to sketch the rebar but have an error me : Can't convert sketch to rebar shape.

Is there any suggestion to create a rebar with a custom shape?

Thanks in advance,

Hi @Anonymous

That geometry (shape ending in arc and non-tangent arc to straight segment) is currently not possible in rebar shapes.

Here's a description of the geometries that are not supported by rebar shapes

You can however model it as free form rebar, but the bar can only report the total length.

It's considered to be delivered as a straight bar (workshop instructions).

If the geometry matches rebar shape capabilities, that the free form rebar can match to rebar shapes and report segment lengths as well.

Here's an example of sketching a free form rebar:

Here's an example using the aligned distribution across an element that has that shape
