How can I ungroup to manipulate the features brought in my Revit project? Right now, it shows a blue border which prevents me to individually work on just one of the items I need.

What features are you asking about. For example what have you brought into your model? A group, DWG, PDF etc.

Linked file (.rvt) that has grid lines, foundation walls, and different sizes for footings.

you have a couple choices here, since it is a linked model.

1. you can cut the element you want out of the linked model and past it in to your model.

2. you can use the copy/monitor under the collaborate tab to copy in the elements you want. I would use this for your grid lines for sure.

Is this what you where wanting to try to do. Let me know if there is anything else.

is these things you are trying to physically change (shape, location, etc..), or do you just want to turn it off or change how it represents (on/off, color, weight, etc...) in you model?
