 Hi lebabyo

the best thing is to use model in place for such case , taking into consideration the structural framing category

Best,

Hello,

I need a help for creating a beam with a rectangle variable section. I want to give the start section, bi x hi and the final section, bf x hf and it automatically creates the beam with those descriptions.

I would start by opening one of the out of the box beams...the HSS is probably a good start, save it to your custom library with a new name.  Delete the sweep in there and the existing reference planes.  You can rename the existing H and B parameters or create new ones....if you want them to schedule then make them shared.

Create a Blended Sweep and draw the profiles and assign an equality parameter first, then the H or B parameter.  Edit the other end and do the same with those parameters.

I did a simple example which I attached....Revit 2017
