I am currently preparing to take the Revit certified professional user exam, i have took different Revit training, though I haven’t used Revit for any real life project as i have been using ArchiCAD, but moving to the UK, Revit is widely adopted here, hence my reason for aspiring to become certified Revit professional user. I am looking for the role of a Structural Revit technician. Do you all think that taking this exam will increase my chances of getting a job?

which are you going for? the Revit Certified User or Revit Structural Certified Professional

I have not taken the User one in a very long time 😉. But I have taken the professional many times for Revit MEP, Arch and AutoCAD.  My concern with your aspiration is, as you said, you have no practical experience with the software. So your knowledge will be strictly from training classes, videos, and tutorials. i do the corporate training for my firm, I train everyone that comes in, regardless of what they say they know.  i have had several people in my classes who had certifications, most with practical experience too. Most only knew half the stuff I was teaching them. They might have known what was on the test, but didn't know how to really "use the software".

Some may disagree with my opinion, but.... The certification may look good on your resume. It may give you an advantage over others to get you in the door in some places. But personally, I don't see it as proof of knowing what you're doing, just proof that you knew enough to get the Certification. You also put in the effort to get certified though, and that holds some credit for me 😁.
