Is there a way to make a tag for Assemblies so you can just click them and it creates a label for the given assembly.  I tried to use teh generic one that comes pre loaded on Revit but it just comes up with a "?".  I didn't know if there was a way to make it put the name of the chosen assembly in the box when clicked on.

Thank you

Adam

Click on the assembly and click "Edit Type", under "Type mark" type in the value you want the tag to show for that assembly.

You might haf to modify or make new assembly tag.

In this example  I Created a Assembly and named it "4 Chairs"

I modified an Assembly tag and chose three parameters to be used by the assembly tag.

Loaded into the project and tagged the assembly.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

My version of Revit did not come with a stock Assembly tag, where would I find one?

Just open any tag family (door tag for example) then change the category to assembly tag and add label(s).
