analytical nodes revit structure

Hi,

 

i don't understand because in revit structure analytic model nodes seems correct but when i export the IFC file in a structural software it is not correct.

Somone can help me?

i think because of when you save a file in IFC you lose some data, it is not controlled, but if you send the model to robot structural analysis you won't lose any data

but utilize BIM is a good thing for the interoperatibility and the IFC is for this. 

If i want utilize my structural software i don't understand because the ifc lose data.

If this is the problem i think BIM lose his peculiarity.

i'm agree with you, but you should know that IFC is international extension, i mean autodesk dose not own "IFC", and there is no company own IFC extension, it is utility to send model between many different programs, but of course it is hard to keep all data in that save or in other words not all data will be compatible with two programs from two different companies , i think they works on that to modify if and make IFC more efficient
