Aligning View Titles

This seems to be a recurring question and I don't believe Autodesk have addressed it yet.

When you have plans on seperate sheets, how are people aligning the titles up from sheet to sheet.  It would be really handy to have the ability to align to a guide grid Autodesk!

I currently draw a detail line in the sheet and paste aligned to all other sheets then just zoom in and eyeball the location to the pasted line.

How are others doing this?

We add invisible lines in the title block.

I always place the view title at the lower left corner of the view box on sheet, so I create some invisible line in the view title family and eyeball it. 

On a sheet with multiple views, I placed one properly at its corner, place other views where I want, then drag the other views' title snapping to the first view title, then move it from corner to corner.  Do it for one row and one column then the rest can be aligned using the blue guide.   

I don't think no other people in the office go to this extent but whatever, we are what we are.

Have you got a chance to use Align from BIM42 free Revit addin? It can be used for aligning various categories in Revit like aligning of tags and view title etc.

Another useful free addin is from the Diroots named "SheetGen"; which can be used to create a sheet with views; based on a template sheet.

Revit 2024 should make the Viewport title align automatically or paste "aligned to same place."

This is a no brainer. I HATE dragging things around when setting up sheet views on a new project.

@ToanDN Oh well, I'm even worse. Here is what I came up with.

I have a legend with a 1" horizontal line from the origin. The origin can be either found with pyRevit/Edit/Place origin marker or by linking a dwg origin to origin.

Default view title, the one that Revit assigns automatically to a new view, needs to be set to <none>.

Now when you pull that legend on the sheet it will snap to the origin of the sheet.

Of course, the sheet origin must be in a useful place. then I move the legend 1/2" to the left. 

Now I change the view title to the desired one and easy-peasy the origin of the view title is exactly on the sheet origin. 

Other view title can snap to that location and by using the move command placed into the desired exact positions.

Everybody in my office loves this procedure!!

The only saving grace is the fact that the legend can be copied from sheet to sheet. Comes printing time, I select all the legends in the projects aside from the one on the setup sheet and delete them.

I totally love it!!! No more eyeballing, 100% accurate and I only have to jump thru a few loops.

Revit 2024 brings at least some improvements but we, as structural engineers, have to deal with whatever Revit version the clients want.
