Adaptive Components

Hi,

I am new to Adaptive Components.  I am trying to create a sweep for a 3.2m x 3.2m x 0.3m thick concrete cable duct.

It changes elevation and direction as in the attached file, I have created 8 adaptive points.  There is a curve of R6.1m between points  4, 5, and 6, 7. I am trying to create the path but having difficulty. Is there anything I am missing? Can someone tell me the best approach?

Thanks

Phil

You could use the Spline through Points Tool

Or alternatively import the Path and add Points along and edit the Properties as to position etc.

(IN GENERAL) The reason to use adaptive points in a family is to "place" or "host" those points onto "things" in your project environment and then the adaptive component family will reshape, or adaptive itself when those "things" move. The three adaptive families below would result in the adaptive component to look the SAME in the project environment.

So Since your family ONLY has adaptive points, I recommend you consider just building all the adaptive points in a straight flat line and go from there. It could make your life easier and this is only a suggestion.
